10 years ILR with conviction(LC20,IN10)

Post by moses28 » Tue Jan 21, 2014 9:17 am

hi peeps,

hope everyone is doing fine and stay blessed

I have a question for the experts on the situation that is lately been eating me alive:-((

I have spent 10 years lawfully in uk and i want to apply for my ILR on 10 years basis.

In 2006 I was stopped by police, I was driving to the airport to drop a friend who was late for his flight as the person who was supposed to take him ditched at last minute. Anway i had international license and no insurance. got stopped by the police for a routine check and they charged me with no insurance and also told me i could not drive on this license as i was here then for more than 12 months.

I got summons to appear in court and got 9 months ban and 800 fine with. 6 points. :-((. I tried to help the guy to the airport and it went wrong for me,

after that i have had three or four extensions done on my student visa including PSW and I never mentioned it. first i got scared and then after i felt if i tell now thats even more trouble.

I dont know how i kept getting visa extensions never had no queries about anything.

My question is should i mention it now even though it is spent now but i feel i cant keep running from it.

if i do what is the likely outcome .
plz help me anyone

ta.

Convictions should be declared and so far as you don't have one in the preceding 24 months, it shouldn't be an issue.

You should have declared the conviction previously, whether it will be considered deception may depend on whether it was a material fact, although, deception need not be.

hi
I want to ask the similar question to any member
1. What if you failed to mention conviction (fine by court) because of lack of knowledge on your previous application 4 years before and now your ILR is due.

(a). Will that have any impact on my ILR?
(b). Should i declare it in ILR ?

Any reply appreciated

Thnx
