Life in the UK for naturalization

Post by aakhere » Wed Jan 22, 2014 11:48 am

Hello everyone,

I have got ILR approved on Jan 2013, I have submitted my Life in the UK exam for that.

Now in naturalization application, it says "I have passed the Life in the UK test and attach confirmation" & "test number is".

What does this mean? What proof Should I give for that ?

They gave only one copy and it was submitted to them already for ILR application. I am not sure if I have the test number.
There is no option like "you already satisfied these requirements when you obtained indefinite leave to remain (ILR)"!.

Please suggest.

Thanks

They would have returned your Life in the UK Test certificate with your passport and other paperwork. You need to submit this with your application. It is far easier if you find it and submit it. However...If you threw it out or if it was not returned then you need to state that you do not have the original certificate but it was submitted to UKBA at the time of applying for ILR. Kindly request they check their systems.

I would obviously call UKBA before doing this to ensure they did properly log it onto their systems. They would have received your test results from the test centre the day after you did your test, but it's the UK government and stuff does go missing sometimes.

I emailed them to ask about this same thing. They said they keep the certificate if the ILR application was successful and will have a record of it when I apply for citizenship (hopefully this week in fact). I plan to include a copy of that email in my application
