Spouse visa when divorce happens

Post by RB1 » Sun Jan 26, 2014 10:09 pm

Hi New to the board, hope I'm posting this in the right place...

Me and my wife got married about 7 years ago and she is still here on the basis of being my spouse. During that time we have had 3 beautiful children. Regrettably it looks as though the relationship may be at an end, not for want of trying but I feel we've now come to the point where it's beyond repair and it is the best thing for us to be separated. My question is basically: If we were to separate, would she be sent back to her country? Would the fact we have children have any baring on her status? I would hate for the children to be in a situation where they did not see one of us regularly as we both love them dearly and want the best for them.

Any help greatly appreciated.
