Tier2 (G) Reporting Salary Change on SMS after Visa approval

Post by gemini86 » Tue Jan 28, 2014 9:40 pm

Hi,

I could not get much information from my previous post last year and now the situation has come closer to the date.

About my situation: I have switched from PSW to Tier 2 General last year. At the moment my salary on the COS without allowances is a lot above the appropriate rate, for example: 26000 (whereas the minimum rate is 20300 for the SOC code 2137). Due to financial reasons of the company, employer has decided to reduce the salary. New salary will be around 22000 which is still above the appropriate rate.
We are trying to find a way to mention this change to the HO - Whether it needs to be done via the SMS by adding a sponsor note or by contacting them in person.

Paragraph 592 in Sponsor's Guidance mentions that: You must report the following within 10 working days:
d) if there are any significant changes in the sponsored migrant’s circumstances, for
example:
II. a change of salary from the level stated on the migrant’s CoS, other than changes
due to annual increments or bonuses;

Also, other questions bother me:
What happens after reporting them?
Will they accept this huge reduction?
What would be the outcome if they do not accept?

Please could you suggest the best possible way to convey this change to the HO. Your valued suggestions are much appreciated Gurus, Manci etc.

Thank you very much..
