Can my brother lodge any visa for me ?

Hi all,

I have recently joined this community... i have gone through few pages but could not find suitable answer; hope someone will assist me !!!

My brother (his partner and 4 years old son) lives in UK , they have obtained ILR visa few months back.

At present i live in Australia, working on 457 visa subclass (known as Long Business Stay visa) which is valid until Aug 2016, little of my background, i have got IT degree and working as Business Analyst in Australia since last 4 years. I was in UK on student visa from 2005 - 2007 but since then moved to Australia, recently i have given IELTS exam and managed to get 7 bands in each module.

Is there any visa available my brother can lodge so i can move to UK permanently ? or may be i can lodge application on my own to settle in UK permanently ?

No - there's nothing your brother could sponsor you on.

In terms of what you can apply for - you need to start here:

Once you've had a read through that - you should come back and ask some questions on specific visas.
