Time spent in CTA

Post by sai2014 » Fri Jan 31, 2014 8:17 pm

Hi all

I am new to this forum and it has been very helpful.

I'd like you to provide me with some clarifications if possible on my situation

I was granted FLR(M) for 2 years back in December 2010 in Guernsey.
However, in July 2012, my husband and I, we relocated permanently to UK and I applied for ILR (in-time) in November 2012.
My ILR was refused in Nov 2013 and ground of refusal was that I had not spent enough time in the UK.

My understanding is that time spent in Guernsey is equal to time spent in UK for immigration purposes... can I have anyone's opinion on this?
(Note I was on work permit from July 2007 till July 2011)

I have an appeal in 2 weeks time so your opinion would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Hi All,

Just wanted to update following my experience:

My oral appeal hearing due on 17 February 2014 was withdrawn 2 days before the hearing. I did not hear from UKBA for the next 2 weeks. However, I received a letter granting me my ILR after following up through my MP.

I had to wait for another 2 weeks to finally receive my BRP card. In all, as I applied in November 2012 and only got my ILR on Friday, I have spent approx. 18 month getting messed around.
