When to leave for UK

Post by cheekyvirgin » Sat Feb 01, 2014 12:31 am

My Mrs got her settlement visa from pakistan and wondering if there is any time limit that she must travel to UK in certain days or something.

Nothing on the visa letter received with passports.

Thanks

Within 3 months, to prevent an extra unnecessary FLR(M) extension, beyond the required one, prior to SET(M).

Maintenance for wife visa extension

Post by cheekyvirgin » Tue Jan 19, 2016 1:51 am

Hi

I believe for partner visa extension it is required to have £18600 salary per year but what other alternative we can show if this year salary has gone down.

Can we show savings ? if yes then how much savings we do need to show up if cant prove the earnings via job.

Thanks

Only savings over £16,000 will be considered to make up any shortfall in earnings. These must have been held in an accessible account for a minimum of 6 months.

Hi thanks for your message.

If I'm showing £16000 in accessible savings or current account do i still have to proof any income ?

Income remained £15k this year.

I'll try and help you but the calculation is fairly complex, so I'll leave it open for others to confirm or disagree. By my reckoning:
The first £16,000 of savings are discounted. Therefore a shortfall of £3,500 x 2.5 year extension would require a further £8,700 of savings if you only have an annual income of £15,000

Thanks CASA

Mean I will have to show 15k as salary plus 16000 + 8700 as savings.

Can we combine salary with money earned as self employed ?

Thanks

That's my calculation, but best wait for confirmation that I'm correct. All earnings can be combined, including joint income
