Tier 2 Sponsorship

Post by janinah » Sat Feb 01, 2014 6:47 pm

Hi all,

One of my friends relative has a small Cash & Carry grocery shop in London. Now, he wants to apply for Tier 2 Sponsorship licence so that he can employ someone as Manager of the business.

As, those job could be Purchase or Sales Manager of the business qualify for the NQF 6 level. But, I am confused about grocery shop can apply for Tier 2 Sponsorship Licence ??? I know Restaurant can... But not sure about Grocery Shop.

Please let me know if you anything about it.

Thanks

No business is explicitly prohibited from obtaining a licence.

Someone running a 'small cash & carry' may struggle to argue the manager of said shop really is NQF level 6 though.

For example, a restaurant can get a licence but they can't sponsor a restaurant manager because that job is not skilled enough to qualify.
