Working in the US

Post by Aidanmccarthy » Fri Jul 06, 2007 12:43 am

hi,
I have friends from Australia who came to the UK and worked in restaurants and shops etc. I would like to know how they were allowed to do this and if the same applies for UK citizens to go to America without a work Visa.
Thanks

Nope. Australia and the UK have a reciprocal "working holiday" scheme (as do other Commonwealth countries) but the US never joined it.
