Switching from Tier 2(ICT) spouse visa to Tier 2 General

Hi all,

I am on Tier2 - Spouse Dependant visa and is working in here in uk.
My husband has Tier2 - Intra Company Transfer and our visa is valid from May 2012 to August 14.

I am looking for eligible sponsors who can give me sponsorship.
Have few questions in mind:

I knew that dependants of Tier 2 (ICT) visa can apply for Tier 2 general visa if:-
1. if they have Sponsorship. need to apply from home country.
2. Does the cooling period of 1 yr is also applicable to dependant?
3. Is there any chances if I can apply for extension- for 1 or 2 months(work completion). Here our visa validity is till august 2014, but due to project closure my husband need to move back in April 2014.

I have asked so many people but confused each time they say contrasting points.
Pls suggest.
