Urgent info needed for IGS / Fresh Talent Scheme

Post by viki83 » Sat Jul 07, 2007 4:42 pm

Hi,

I am on student visa here till 01/01/08. I'll apply for either FT or IGS in november. I would lilke to know that I need to show bank statement for 3 months only. The other thing I would like to know is that if I've done 2 jobs on separate bank accounts (totalling more than 20 hours) and when applying for FT / IGS show bank statement of one account having job of less than 20 hours, will that cause any trouble. If so what is the solution? Do they check for job hourse same as they check for visa extension or is it OK if my last three months bank statements are showing under 20 hours.

Is it necessary to show an accomodation proof with lease / properly registered in city council. Or just proof of address is enough?

Regards,

They have links to Inland Revenue and can check how much you've earned so don't try and lie about it. Of course the IR doesn't record hours worked but they're not daft when they see earnings that seem high for a 20hr working week.

Why did you work more then 20hrs, you know it's aganst the terms of you visa?

They can and do sometimes check the income you claim to have earned against tax and NI records. So don't lie about it, if you are caught out you will be in difficulty.
I am not, and cannot, offer legal advice to particular people. I can only discuss general areas of immigration law.

People should always consider obtaining professional advice about their own particular circumstances.

Thaks alot for your replies.

Actually I havent been doing more than 20 hours. I am currently just doing a job of 12 hrs /week but very few times in past I've done some temp work once or twice in a month which made my total hours sometimes 20-24. But this temp work was through an agency and on my other bank account. And its also without my NI. So thats what I wanted to make clear if it can cause any trouble. I am not doing that temp work now as I dont want to corrupt my last 3 months bank statement. So what I wanted to know was that if I show only one of the bank statement of my current job of 12 hours and not show my other bank statement would that be fine?
