Successful ILR

Post by sashank » Sat Jun 09, 2007 12:16 pm

Anyone out there who have submitted application after visa expired for LLTR (granted LLTR even after late submission) and subsiquently succeed for ILR?

What are the chances in such scenario for ILR?

You mean your visa has expired? How long ago was that?

Expired on 31 mar and HO recognises the application made on 1 Apr, They approve the application being valid and issue visa in about 9 days. That was long ago and I subsiquently extended visas 3 times without any problem and now nearing for ILR application..

It would help John if you gave all the dates involved
Date of entyr, entry clearance stamps
all visa renewals validity dates
Don't make him read your mind
and pluck the info from the air

How was the application made? What is the relevance of 1st April? Was the application made in person on that date? Or if it was posted, what was the date of posting?

I think she's claiming to have her application posted before the visa expiration date but the home office's record showed that the application was made on April 1st, which was after visa expired (by 1 day or so). Now she's having troubles getting ILR because of this 1 day overstayed. The tricky part is she cannot produce evidence to show that she had sent off the application before her visa expired. The home office is claiming otherwise.

Many thanks sunnyday for thinking about it and being right.
Well said apart from following
1. I have not submitted my ILR application yet I am just worried about it because the file from home office says that applic/raised date 1st Apr 2003.

2. I signed off my application on 28 Mar 2003, college filled its bit on 31 march and sent it off to home office (I have no idea when college sent my application) and home office recognises the application being made on 1 apr 2003. all these dates are in SAR file received from home office i.e. the date i signed my application, date the college stamped and the date home office recognises.

I do not have any evidence when the application was posted nither the college has. I tried the royal mail registered delivery no when the application was received by the home office but that is now not showing any info because of lapsing many years.

I am applying next month for my ILR.

I think this should give some more info forming an opinion whether it is of serious matter or not.

Thanking in advance
