Visit to Manchester Joint visa office and info on facilities

Hi All,

My wife and myself are indian citizens with ILR and our baby is British citizen and we have applied for her Indian visitors visa at given below address in Manchester. Also given below are the facilities witin visa office and nearby. I have also listed Email-id for enquiries,Fees details for single visa,Application submission time, Access to building details and documents to be submitted.

****Facilities at Visa office and near by******:

1. Euro News-off licence-This is just two or three door from Visa office in same lane where you can refill your online visa application form if they have rejected it for some reason or print some stuff.
2. Post office(Location:If you come out of the vise office go past the metro train tracks,Cow store,Starbucks and all the
way through the bus stop and take right)
3. Photo booth to take pictures of Indian Visa size.(This facility is within visa office)

Fee details payed: We payed 93.98 through cards since we had submitted our own self addressed envelope. If you are not submitting your own self addressed envelope you need to pay 104 GBP.

Application submission timings at Manchester Joint visa application office: Although there is not much rush applications are only accepted between 9:00 to 14:30.

Access to building: There is small entrance with 18-22 written on door head which is clearly visiable from 1 or 2 meters. Access is restricted so press button 1 to get access to first floor and you will be allowed inside.



Documentation to submit:

1. Fill online form.
Note: if you are filling online form and submitting at Manchester joint visa office your india mission/consulate must be definitely Birmingham otherwise they will ask you to refill the form. For more details please look at this jurisdiction link http://in.vfsglobal.co.uk/Jurisdiction.html.

2. 2 passport photos of 2 by 2 inch of baby
3. Copy of Birth Certificate of child with names of both parents on it.
4. Original British passport of child.
5. Written consent giving permission for child to travel along with reason of travel. This should be given even
though one of the parent or both are traveling with child. This must me signed by both parents and there is
no specific format for this declaration.
6. Declaration form with Name of child and one of the parents signing for it.
7. Photocopy of Parent’s passports along with the copy of their current Indian Visa if already British Citizen. If parents are Indian citizens, copy of Indian passport with the resident Visa status in the UK would be required.
