Hi Everyone,
Currently I’m working as a Research associate Practitioner (NHS band 4) . My salary is about 23K. I hold a BSc (Hons) degree in Biomedical Science (NQF level 6). I am in my PSW visa and wish to change to Tire 2 (general) visa.
Currently I have also completed my Biomedical Scientist registration training and is awaiting to be registered in HCPC as a registered biomedical Scientist. I also hold a Honorary research assistant post (NQF level 6 required) with University College London. Both my posts involves managing and conducting high level national and International level academic and Clinical research projects.
My main question is am I eligible to transfer from my PSW visa to Tire 2 visa? If not if I move into a NHS band 5 post (e.g. – Biomedical Scientist) or to a paid NQF level 6 research post at University college London will that change my eligibility to apply?
My secondary question is, as I have read PhD level jobs (code - 2112 Biological scientists and biochemists) does not necessarily require a PhD. Is this correct? If so does my current job (A research associate Practitioner, Registered biomedical Scientist ,and a honorary research associate with the New entrant pay grade) would qualify for the visa application and the certificate of sponsorship.
Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your time,
