Tier 1 Extension - 5 Days short to ILR?

Post by krishna6693 » Wed Feb 26, 2014 4:03 pm

Dear Friends

Request your inputs; although I should have asked this question much earlier.

Tier 1 General Date of expiry was: 16 Apr, 2013
Date application posted for Extension was: 20 March, 2013

Date (new) leave to remain was valid from: 11 Apr, 2013
Date (new) leave to remain is valid until: 11 Apr, 2015

Although I had applied by post, and within the 28 days before visa was due to expire - my leave to remain is granted only until 11 Apr 2015 which is 5 days short for completion of 5 years (ideally should be 16 Apr 2015).

Will the shortage of 5 days affect my ILR?
As soon as I received the new visa, I checked out with one of the solicitors who informed me, that since I applied within 28 days - I should be fine.

Should I have informed Home Office about this?
Should I inform now or is it too late?

Many thanks for your inputs.

Regards
Krishna
