I applied for citizenship in May 2019 and got refusal because of a 3 months overstay in 2012. The home office suggested applying again in January 2023 to clear 10 years of history. I also forget to upload my reference letters online and at the time of biometrics. However, I sent both letters by e-mail and the home office did not reply. They send an approval e-mail today. Update: As of 17 November 2022, nothing yet. 4 months and 5 days.

Update: 15 Feb. 2023, nothing yet. 7 months and 3 days. Contacted further enquiries and received the response saying "...enquiries are carried out by external agencies on our behalf and can sometimes take longer than six months to complete.". Contacted my MP, she promptly wrote to Home Office and sent me their response, which was the same. Nothing left to do except wait.

Update: 27 March 2023, nothing yet. Over 8 months. Submitted another enquiry to FurtherEnquiries. Also made a detailed subject access requests (SAR).

Looks like than they usually send the approval later on Mondays for some reason .

It took me in total 65 Callander days and 46 working days .
Also I was over stay só applied under the rule, I had some speeding fines just did a cover later explain everything.
