Email 2 weeks later from Home Office Atlas saying my son’s biometrics had not been enrolled. Called to try and find out what had happened as both done on same day. Ensured the email was an error.
Email received two weeks after this to say both of our biometrics not received. Made numerous calls and sent numerous emails to try find out the problem. Yet again ensured biometrics done. Eventually received email from NationalityExceptionsTechnical@homeoffice.gov.uk saying that checks had been done and there was a technical fault resulting in my son’s biometrics not being received. This was being investigated and no further action was required from me as they could see both biometrics had been done on the same day.
Now week 11.5 and still waiting for an update.

FINALLY GOT IT!!!! Took 3 months longer than my husband who naturalized.
A note to Hongkongers: Registration is definitely not faster than naturalisation, however it is an entitlement and has less requirements.
