4 months from biometrics and nearing 5 months from application, still waiting

I applied at the exact same time as my fiancee, who has received her approval in May. Before submitting the application, I had an immigration lawyer review it and they said it was a very straightforward case: EU citizen wit settled status, in continuous employment with the same company sincs 2018, all tax returns completed and paid in time, haven't been out of the country for more than <30-40 days per year, etc.

I can't imagine what can take so long, but I'll wait for the 6 month deadline to pass before emailing them for an update.

Still waiting. Almost 7 months since application, 6 months since biometrics

Just got an email from Atlas that it will take more than 6 months due to "the nature" of the checks they are running. I can't imagine what special checks they need to run, as my record is as clean as it can be, I never stayed here (or anywhere else) illegally.

Approval email arrived today, December 9 2024, after almost 10 months from the date of application and 9 months from the date of the biometrics appointment.

It was a somewhat longer journey than I expected, but I all's well that ends well

Send application on the 6. September 2023 , got arrested on 18 September 2023 informed the home office about the arrested 22/09/23 (for possession that wasn’t mine and disorderly )case close December 18 2024(community resolution order)

Sent email to FNE after 6 months every months till September 2024 same copy and paste reply was sent back by home office.
Did Subject access request 22/1/2024 got response 21/02/2024. No real information apart from knowing the home office already knew about my arrest before I informed them 4 days later. Because an update was added after I informed them on PNC Their computer is linked to the police national computer PNC which updates everyday.

7/7/24 I responded not happy with the first response to my first complaint
9/7/24 Second complaints : caseworker team advices I should give them 6-8weeks to complete the case. And if unsatisfied I can rise it up with the IEC within 3months I have them 12 weeks no response

Contacted IEC 30th Oct 2024 made a complaint and Ice response on the 1 NOv 2024 (On 6 September 2023 you applied for Naturalisation. This application is still ongoing and you are unhappy with the delay. I said Yes
Received another email same day (Could you please describe the impact this has had on you and what you think needs to be done to put matters right.) I replied same day.
Got assigned a resolution officer on the 12 Nov 24

Home office came back to IEC 20nov 24 (UKVI have confirmed that they commit to a time frame of 3 months for completion barring any exceptional circumstances.)

I informed IEC I am unhappy with the home office timeframe and I will like them to investigate it.
21 Nov 2024 IEC requested home office for my file.I later found out that investigation can take up to a year due to backlogs (Your complaint was accepted for examination by this office on 30 October 2024 and we are currently allocating complaints accepted in January 2024.
And hole and behold on the 2nd December 2024 14:44 pm I received and email that your application has been approved by Home office Atlas. I just went to sleep first

NB : I did not contact any MP during my application process.
And After 19 years and 7 applications £££££££ within those years it’s finally over. Glory be to God.
