Just an update. I have called and actually tweeted HM Passport office mentioning that I have travels booked and need the passport urgently. Normally they dont do fast track service for first passport applications but in this case they were very helpful and asked me to pay an extra fee of £87 so i can get the passport tomorrow or latest monday.
