I got my passport in exactly 2 weeks and this includes christmas and new year period!

P.S. Today on 04–01-2018, I contacted to HMPO through their website by enquiring if there’s any update on my application. But sadly, I have received a very generic message from them which they send to every enquirer. I have copied the email below.

I can confirm that your passport application was received by the Liverpool Passport Office on the 18/12/2017. Your passport application is currently going through the examination process.



Correctly completed applications are generally being processed within the timescales of the service you have applied for.

If you applied using the Check and Send service, available through selected branches of Post Office Limited, your application has a turnaround target of 3 weeks. This, however, is not a guaranteed service and turnaround times may exceed this during periods of peak demand.

I am waiting for my citizenship ceremony to be able to apply for a passport before Christmas. Apparently the ceremony will be on Nov 23. But, that will leave only 1 month for my passport application to be processed. Did you travel and came back to the country without an UK passport?
I have a Colombian passport, not sure if they let me come back with only that...
