According to the website definition of the term "dispatched," it means the following (and I've copied and pasted directly from the website:

So I'm not sure how long it takes from the time of it being dispatched to arriving. I was told that applications for passports usually take a minimum of 6 weeks. Its been a little over 2 weeks since I applied online and the mailed my documents over via a courier. Does anyone know if this 6 weeks means once the status changes or do online applicants who send in all the documents required have a shorter waiting time???? Thanks

Most applications for passport nowadays receive their new passport within 2 weeks,
My new passport application was submitted 10/03/16,and passport received 22/03/16,

I would like to add a note about the online application questions, i had misunderstood that they are asking about ONLY previous British passport information and had not sent my current valid passport with the declaration form. The case worker sent me a letter asking about my valid pasport and asked me to post it so he can process the application. Just thought might help others filling the form to know that they want us to include details of ANY current passport not just British.
