Hello All,

Here is my timeline for British passport for my 1 year old baby.

Passport for: 1 yr old baby
Application Type: New (naturalised)
Method of application: Check & Send, Manchester
Date of application: 20/11/2015 (Friday)
Application Received: 23/11/2015 (Monday), Liverpool office
Date of return of documents: Waiting
SMS received : 25/11/2015
Date of passport receipt: 25/11/2015 (Wednesday)

So passport office issued and delivered the passport within 2 days of receiving application. Impressive !

Guys,
I finally recevied my supporting documents yesterday ( Passport and Naturalisation)

With that, my long journey has now to come to a logical end.

My sincere thanks to each one in this form, especially the admins for this wonderful forum, to show "united we stand, divided we fall"

This forum shows to prove if all can be united we can support each other.

I will continue to login as it has become a habit and very tough to stop

Then how come I see few have said you applied??

We have applied online on 5th November and recieved SMS on Monday 23rd but still the passport has not delivered.

Looking at the timeline people got the sms and the passport slivered the next day don't know what happend in our case

yes online is hassle free and it doesn't challenge your judgement, like post office

This forum has been extremely useful for me (as you will see in my story) so I wanted to "give back" by sharing my experience as well.
I submitted the online application on 8 Nov.
I posted all the documentation on 11 Nov.
The online tracking system said my documents arrived on 13 Nov.
After waiting more than a week for any update, I called the service today (24 Nov).
As expected, initially the person just said I would have to wait - for up to 6 weeks.
But after reading all the comments on this forum, I stayed calm and said I was surprised my supporting documents hadn't been returned yet, and I didn't know if the money I paid online included postage for returning these (and which also wasn't mentioned on the PDF).
So he went into my application, looked at it and said that my invitation letter had been sent on 17 Nov, as had my supporting documents!
I said I hadn't received either. So he said just call the number and book your appointment.
And he also gave me the DX tracking number for my supporting documents. I then used that to rebook the delivery on the DX website for 26 Nov (and this time to my work address) - according to the website they had tried to deliver it on 21 Nov but there was no one at home.
I don't think this story will need a further update as it should be pretty straightforward now – hope it is of some help.

I called the interview booking line today without receiving the letter and gave them the barcode number on the post office receipt.
Got the email confirmation for interview. Will print it and take along in case interview letter doesn't arrives.
My interview is on 5th December (Saturday) in Birmingham.

Thats it then.. you dont need anything but email confirmation.. take the printout with you tomorrow..

If you havent asked for it then call them first thing in the morning give them your reference and ask them to send you appointment confirmation via email. Get its print out and take it along to the interview.

Grandparent details are not required. I checked with passport office as well.
And I have been successful on both ocassions (check and send ) and online.
Please ensure your signature stays within the box and not even touching the boundaries.
