You quote a date of acknowledgment via both am email and a letter. The only email i got after i submitted my application was titles 'payment successful - this confirms that we have received your payment and you application has been submitted.' Is that the email you refer to in your timeline under 'Date of acknowledgement and what letter did you get on 22 Jan 2020? I didnt get any letter in the post so wondering if something has been missed at my end. Thanks

Just to add that I have lived in the UK for 14 years but did not qualify for 10 year residency ILR due to overstay in 2011 (which was based on technicality and changing rules at the time of extending my student visa). I sent a cover letter with my application regarding the overstay and good character requirement and pleased the HO applied discretion.
