Updating

To The Administrator: Editing is not possible once the initial post has been made for some couple of days. I always have to update by reposting my initial post with the updates and I am sure I speak for a lot of people here as well.

The other option is not to update at all. Am I missing anything?

This is my first post - In hindsight I wish I had discovered this forum much earlier. Here it goes:

Looking at previous posts of users who applied in January I am pleasantly surprised with how quick, both the response and the checks from HMPO actually are. If I was any the wiser I would have joined the rest of this lovely community into using Check and Send. Sounds more straightforward.

It took a bit longer for the return of the supporting documents but in general I found this last leg of my migratory journey surprisingly fast and efficient. At last I can pass through the "gates" with ease (in French "la porte" i.e. the etymology of the word)

Despite my meager posts I did consult this website often at other stages of a lengthier process, including ILR and, of course, naturalisation. I would like to thank all concerned in its operation and wish the best of luck to everyone out there in the pipeline
