Hey it was sent through check and send service, so not quite sure which office was dealing with it.....the interview letter came from Liverpool on first class post........

Hi, sometimes the documents arrive before the interview letter. But since you have got the documents back, it means they have processed your application. If you can't wait for the letter, you can call them for the reference number. You should be able to get it to book your interview appointment.

I never got any, and was worried. But I got my passport in just 18 days.

Hi,

I don't know if they always send a text message telling you they've received your passport application.

You can send a tracking update request on this site: https://www.gov.uk/track-passport-application - the website says you have to wait 3 weeks before you can track, but they will tell you if they have it. It took them 2 days to respond to me.

The Post Office Check & Send is a separate (although similar) service to that of the Nationality Checking Service.
