Thanks for your input everyone. I'm just trying to find any under lying pattern in the data (decision based on case and date) although I know it's like looking for a needle in a gigantic haystack :). But still it would an interesting data analytics exercise.

I've been a silent reader on the forum for a while. Just got a quick question. Is it the case that people who got ILR through the 10 years route are being made to wait longer (around 6 months) for naturalisation than candidates through routes such as Tier 1 general, spouse of a BC or Tier 2?

Here are my details:
Route: 10yrs + 1 year on ILR
Applied via NCS on: 1st April 2015.
Acknowledgement letter issued: 27th April 2015.
Acknowledgement letter received: 01st May 2015.
Fees deducted: 01st May (paid through cheque)
Haven't received any biometric enrolment letter yet, despite applying with March 2015 form.
I braced myself for a long long wait before I submitted just to remain in the hope of getting surprised one fine day :).
I dont think so that is the case. there r people with different route of applications r waiting for more than 6 months. There is no set pattern that HO is working on.
I think gryphone is right. I also notice that most of Tier 1, Tier 2 cases approved with in 4-5 weeks and spouse of a BC some time approved quickly and some time take long. Applications On the basis of 10 years straight way goes in minimum 4-6 months cupboard. 10 years is a long period to keep record clean and after that a long wait for Nationality approval is a big pain. Bad luck for on the basis of 10 years applications (included me).
Thats not true. Im a spouse of bc. Straight forward case but i had to wait 8 and half months for my approval.

Hi Imran, It looks like the same old Diplomatic and Template answers from HO. We need to wait until the Stats for Jan-March to be released. Somebody has already requested it, in week or two we would be able to get a clear picture, because by the end of Dec 31 st they had around 10000 pending applications, let us see how many are cleared and how many has been added since then, More over many people dont know about this forum, so we cant guess it either. we only get a representatives from people feed back, we dont know the full picture of what exactly happening inside HO.

Hi,

Can anyone please tell me if they've applied for citizenship from overseas and been successful. How long did it take from receiving letter of approval to citizenship ceremony( Overseas application NOT UK application)

Thanks.

Can't even think of calling to chase anything up as I received the 3 to 6 month letter wait and a further letter asking for my original documents. Good luck to everyone

Still no sign of biometric registration letter !
any application received by home office before or on 2nd April 2015 falls in the old regulations which doesn't require biometrics enrolment. so relax :)

BUT I HAVE COMPLETED NEW APPLICATION FORM WHICH REQUIRED TO COMPLETE BIOMETRICS !
