Have you any offence(s), penalty points or fines? With an Irish spouse and five years residency, your application shouldn't be taking this long in my opinion. But if you have no previous conviction, penalty points or fines, you should be getting your approval in the next batches of approvals rolling out soon before or after the coming citizenship ceremony next week Friday.Belfastman wrote:My time line as follow:
Applied: 19/11/2014, (Irish spouse, 5 years residency)
Acknowledgement: 05/12/2014
Additional docs 29/01/2015
Second stage: 20/02/2015
Acknowledement 26/03/2015
Approval: pendin
When an application has complexities, then no one can say or suggest for sure when you are to get approval. Just keep calm and hope for the best soon.camisu wrote:SECOND TIME VETTING

It means that an assessment of your financial status is being presently conducted and also enquiries are made with the Garda Síochána to verify information provided by you in your application and determine if you can be deemed to be of good character. Once these enquiries are completed, your file will be referred to the Minister for Justice and Equality for a decision (approval) if there's no complexity (offences/convictions, fines or penalty points).iluvireland wrote:Hi members

In my opinion, I think there'll be consequences for your bad driving behavior. You're supposed to be of GOOD CHARACTER at all times while resident in the state. You will be asked officially to explain further in the course of the time why you behaved this way and should expect some delays in your application.iluvireland wrote:Thanks for replyKingdomMan wrote:It means that an assessment of your financial status is being presently conducted and also enquiries are made with the Garda Síochána to verify information provided by you in your application and determine if you can be deemed to be of good character. I had 2 point for excess 60 k/h zone in 2008. I paid fine .
What do think ?
You're gainfully employed and productive to the system so I think that should in a way help your application and also push it faster but I pray someone overlooks your previous driving offence so you can be approved in the next 1-3 months time.iluvireland wrote:Kingdom man
Actually what happen is I got second stage letter on 13/09/2015.
Then I got a new job with HSE . Sent them job letter and 2 payslip by registered post.
I got acknowledged letter from further processing team.
Should I aspect approval end of this year.
Thanks
You will definitely get a second stage letter in due course like every other applicants. Second stage letter is to notify you that your application continues to be processed and have moved to Garda vetting to confirm that you've been of good character, and other departmental checks to confirm you gave accurate and genuine information on your application form. If the INIS require further information/documentation from you, they'll notify you as well but if not, your application will continue to be processed and forwarded to the minister for approval. The average time for processing an application is 6 months (barring no complex issues) but some have gotten approval within 2 months of applying while others have gotten at the 3rd, 4th or 5th months of applying depending on the basis of their applications. Note that some applications have taken longer than 6 months and could take up to a year or two or more just like myself.Amit005 wrote:hi guys just like to ask , i applied my citizenship on 3rd of sep 2015 .they received file on 8th sep 2015 .i got acknowledgement on 17 dated 15 sep 2015 .i did't hear anything after that .I saw number of people talking about second stage letter .what is second stage letter ? .
