My local surgery registered my wife as a new patient. Didn't ask for NHS surcharge juts a proof of address and passport.
Then,i went to local registrar office to register marriage and lady clerk refused to register me.Her argument was that am already married and have valid marriage certificate from Pakistan.I tried to explain but she refused.Do you have any idea what should i do?

Thanks a lot Casa, will try that and will update you.Casa wrote:Try another Registry Office, submit the passport with the fiance visa and don't show your Pakistani marriage certificate, which as we know isn't valid here anyway.

Don't forget to pay for any NHS treatment you fiance has, as per the link I posted earlier in your thread. Unpaid NHS bills of a total of £500 and over, can mean a refusal of your fiances spouse visa until the bill is paid.spiderman007 wrote: My local surgery registered my wife as a new patient.
