Hello guys,
One of my friends wife is going to apply for her 1st visa extension after being for 2.5 years in UK and we want to know whether when applying for spouse visa extension for another 2.5 years does she has to do A2 exam and what will happen if she didnt do A2 will she automatically go to 10 years route?

Please let me know.

My understanding is yes, she would have to do the English A2 exam (for FLR (M)), unless she has an exemption, or comes from a country where English is spoken as a native language, or she has taken and passed a higher certificate that was accepted for her Initial Entry.

Thanks but what would happen if she fail A2 and say she couldn't pass it before applying for visa extension and would this result her to move to 10 years route or would her visa extension rejected?

Please let me know
