Dont worry about it if your asylum claim and reason is still VALID and also u did not
commit any serious crime.
Many things home office needs to check regarding any applicant so my advise not to over think about it and just wait and pray if u have still serious issue/s and asylum reason is valid ,no need to worry,i know some of members who got thier ilr after many months, some of even got 14 months. so b patient. GOOD LUCK

Thank you for your reply. Thankfully my asylum is still valid and i have never commited crime. however, i do have a county court judgement, but that was a civil matter of non payment of rent, but during that time i was in the process of my refugee/asylum application. and i was granted 5 years stay. does the effect this. i got my brp in 2013 july. and this judgement is april 2014, but i was never aware of it as i did not go back to the same poroperty where i was living.

Did u send them all required dacuments? did u fill form by own?Did u sort property rent issue although it does not effect ur set(P) application if asylum reason is VALID,but above issue will effect ur next stages(naturalisation application) under good character. so my advise not to worry and wait.its really beazy time too, overloaded work on home office, also backlock files all r factors delaying decesions and taking time to process applications. BEST OF LUCK.

Hi i will suggest that you should wait another year and after British citizenship apply or get your home country passport as on this forum i have seen a case in which someone obtained home country passport after refugee ilr and he was having travel document as well his application for citizenship was refused and a ban of 10 years was imposed. I will try to attach the link to that post as well.PPTP wrote: ↑Wed Oct 31, 2018 9:04 pmGuys. Could someone help me please with my query. I have received set protection in September. Home office also returned my travel documents with it which I sent to them at the begging of my application. I urgently need to retrieve my national passport. The passport expired in 2015 and my travel document expired in 2018. I am not going to use it. Can I actually request Home Office to return my passport as I am not intending to use it? Will I break any laws at all? I suppose they should have returned my passport as well. But it did not happen.
Thank you very much for any support.

Thank you very much for the reply and the link. I am afraid I was a bit misunderstood. I have reviewed the link and could see that the guys, who hgot imposed, he actually applied for a new passport (he obtained a new passport from his authority country) - which is yes - break of immigration law. He needed a valid passport as an identity, which he used. I have an expired passport hold with HO and I would like it as a prove of border crossing. It is expired and won't be used as it won't be accepted anywhere.Sand6 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 31, 2018 9:58 pmHi i will suggest that you should wait another year and after British citizenship apply or get your home country passport as on this forum i have seen a case in which someone obtained home country passport after refugee ilr and he was having travel document as well his application for citizenship was refused and a ban of 10 years was imposed.
