Submitted Application on 14th September 2018
Home office received my application on 17th September 2018
Biometric done on 3rd October 2018
2 Emails received on 29th of each month regarding the processing of my application
Approval Letter received 4th December
Biometric is on the way ( received email from DX)

They have sent this email

"We are emailing you to confirm that your recent Home Office application is still under consideration and we expect to make a decision within 6 months of the date of your application, which is our service standard. If we are unable to process your application within 6 months we will tell you as soon as possible.

and secondly nature of case

**(personal opinion) These numbers are really low compared to the annual number SET(P) applications and most likely relate to convictions/public interest.

Yes, you can arrange to collect it if you phone them.

I submitted exactly the same day as you and my last email was 29th , got my IRL letters on the same day and my biometric card on the 30th of Nov.

I received a message on a forum saying that the home office are giving stay to people who has lived in uk for up to 10 years as a compensation for Windrush scandals. They said you need to use set (p) form.
I have tried to use the set (p) form but its not on the home office website anymore. I found the Nov 2018 version online but its not downloadable.
Has anyone here applied recently using set (p)? How do you get the form and do you applied because you've lived here for ten years without a visa?

The message you are referring to is NOT true. There is no special concession by HO for people to apply for ILR 'as compensation for windrush'. They are scam messages being sent around on whatsapp. You do not qualify for Set P ILR as you are not a person holding a 5 year refugee residence card.

Hi don't worry you might receive your approval soon as I also received two emails only on 8/03 and 9/04 not the third one but revieved approval just after two days on 11/05. So don't stress yourself hopefully you will receive approval soon.

A friend of mine sent me this morning an SMS saying that due to Windrush Scandal the UK Home Office is issuing Visas in silence as a brief amnesty to those who have been living in UK with no papers for the last 10 years. The application used is Set P version 07/2018.

Any take on this? Is it true or just another money making scam ?

It's a scam. Do not believe everything you see or get on WhatsApp. There is no special amnesty for illegal migrants.

Recently you must apply online for SET(P). I am not sure if it will change the processing time. I am working I am not sure if I am eligible to work after my BRP expiry date. Please let me know if anyone have any information regarding these.
