Looks like I got really lucky. My application took just under 4 months. I went through a lawyer, which may have helped. Also, I didn’t need to request my passport back as I was able to get a second passport to use for travel.

I called home office on 9/12/2016 they called me back on same day and they said your application is under consideration and some application take longer than six months.
