Hi lequynhmai,

Congrats on completing the process!!

Just wondering, as you submitted your online application on Oct 4 when everyone was getting the message about priority appointments not being available - did you get the option to book super priority right away when you submitted your application? If not, did you wait and check again the next day or something? The earliest I am eligible to apply is Oct 18 so I'm hoping by then they will have sorted the mess with the priority appointments? Don't even care if the priority appointment is not till next month, just need it in time for December...

Useful to read the previous page where the user already posted and explained how they got an appointment.

I also have the same question - has anyone been able to see priority appt. availability yet? The earliest I can apply for ILR is October 17th, and I was also planning on doing the Super priority service.

Hi,
Did you try today? Are you able to chose super priority.
I did try again today, but extremely early in the morning (8am) just in case they release a limited number of spots every day (Yesterday I tried at 530pm). This morning at 8am, I, fortunately, was able to see and select the Priority Service. I managed to secure an appointment in 2 days (this Saturday) - but of course, that's after paying £260 premium for the appointment... Now I hope they won't refund my Super Priority Service fees like they did to some other members here in the thread. Wish me luck!

Thank you @CR001 for your encouraging comments yesterday, I honestly had an emotional meltdown yesterday when I wasn't able to choose the Priority Service and saw all my business plans collapsing.

If it is helpful to you - this is what the screen looks like on Oct 4 when I checked at 530pm: https://ibb.co/w76XWfM

And this is what the screen looks like on Oct 5 when I checked at 8am:

I know the situation's extremely unnerving, but don't worry - everything will turn out well in the end!

That is incredibly helpful, thank you lequynhmai. I presume you were just able to log back in the next morning when you checked again? I don't want it to do something funky when I get to the payment page. Also, do you have 45 days from the date of the application to choose an appointment time / type of service, or 45 days from the date of your visa expiry? I presume since you checked the declaration on the 4th, this was your application date even if you booked the premium appointment the next day

" I presume you were just able to log back in the next morning when you checked again?"

That's correct.

"Also, do you have 45 days from the date of the application to choose an appointment time / type of service, or 45 days from the date of your visa expiry? "
I have no idea about this, perhaps you should check with a lawyer. I would not personally risk your visa expiring and not paying/applying.

"I presume since you checked the declaration on the 4th, this was your application date even if you booked the premium appointment the next day"
I think your application date is after you select the service and pay, so for me, that would be the 4th, yes. But I could be wrong, the agent at the premium lounge center told me the documents are sent to the Home Office on the 5th by 10 pm, I asked him to just send it during our appointment. So I'm not sure if it is the date of paying, or the date the Home Office receiving the documents from UKVCAS.

I didn't have the option to choose super priority either yesterday (10 year ILR route). I paid the standard fee, assuming the option to pay 800 extra would come at some other point afterwards.

This is crazy, why would they remove the option to get the super priority service without saying anything about it? People plan their lives around this, now I can't leave the country for maybe 6 months when I expected to have it in a week?
Hi peppizch,

I am really sorry to hear that. Could you change your appointment? I am also applying under "10 year ILR route" and only see one option (standard service) for payment on HO website. I was about to proceed assuming I will be given a chance to pay for premium service later on. What do you suggest? Should I pay this fee and go to the next step?

You won't get a premium option on the next screen. If you proceed it will be standard service.

High demand and lack of available appointments.

Note it is Super Priority not Super Premium which is something different that costs or used to cost £10,000.

You also no longer have an option of upgrading standard service to super priority after submission and payment etc. If you proceed and pay standard, that is all you get.

Useful to read the previous page of this topic and you will see it is many members experiencing the same issue.

How do you choose Super Premium?

I thought when you pay there are two options - Standard and Super Priority?

The £10,000 fee Super Premium has been withdrawn according to HO's sight.

If you search the forum (this topic specifically), members are not getting the Super PRIORITY option likely due to high demand and no available appointments.

Hi all,
I have my visa (Tier 2 General) expiring 16 oct 2018. My wife already got her ILR long residence a few days back, I was really really (extremely) worried when I didn't find super priority option for my ILR long residence application. However, looking at this forum, I was hopeful I might get super priority if I wait and I did today around 1:05 AM. I have been refreshing my application page till the point of payment every 5 mins or less for the past 2 days particularly after 00:00 every day. I will upload my documents tomorrow and will keep you all updated on how long it takes. Hope this helps people on this forum as this forum has helped me alot.

Hi there, great news well done. Question, do you need to submit your declaration / application and then be taken to the payment page? Or are you asked for your documents first? I would have thought you need to upload all of your documents before you submit? I haven't gotten to that page yet in my application so I can't see what the order of events is. Just don't want to risk hitting "submit" and miss out on uploading the docs.

1. Pay and submit.

2. Download declaration forms.

3. Upload documents once you have paid and submitted and after you made your appointment.

My wife did not get the option for super priority on Tuesday 08/10. The submission page said "the option you selected is no longer available" and she was agitated. I then read on this forum that somone was able to get super priority option. I refreshed on the night of 08/10 several times but nothing changed. Fortunately, there was something that needed to be corrected in the form so we had to start filling all over again (on a different browser). Upon getting to submission page (around 1am on 09/10), super priority option was presented and was able to pay for it.

Thank you to Moderators for your knowledge and the peace of mind it gives to agitated people.

My experience using Super Priority for Tier 2 to ILR (5-year route)

- Started filling out the online form ages ago. Super Priority option would always be there upon getting to the final screen
- From 1/10 I had to re-do some of the questions as the form changed
- Several times when getting to the final screen I would get "the option you selected is no longer available" but then both standard and super priority would be there
- Eventually applied on 9/10, super priority was there, paid with no issues
- Appointments were very bad, only two Sopra Steria locations in the country with next day appointments were Croydon and Glasgow, any of 7+ locations much closer to me had no appointments whatsoever for the following two weeks or so. Even one of the premium lounges had no appointments until the 13th
- Attended appointment in Glasgow on the 10th at 8am, was out in about an hour
- ILR approval email received around 5:30pm same day, right to work website also updated at that time

Now waiting on decision letter and BRP. Stressful journey that came to a happy and seamless conclusion, so not all is lost with super priority.

Happy to help anyone with any questions now that I've been through it and survived!

Thank you and well done lhrflyer. If you don't mind, I'm confused about the different appointment types available. What is Sopra Steria exactly? I'm based in London so I always either went to Croydon or Victoria, but my understanding is, you pay for the super priority, book an appointment date, and then be done? Is there a separate appointment and centre to go to for biometrics and / or uploading documents that's different from the actual application approval appointment? I'm also doing ILR via 5 year route, from Tier 2.

There is only ONE appointment with ukcvas sopra steria, which is for your biometrics and documents checks (and scan if you choose that).

There is no such thing as an "actual application approval appointment".

No it is not the same. The Home Office in Croydon was an appointment and you saw a HO Caseworker.

UKCVAS Sopra Steria is ONLY a third party agent for biometrics and document checks. They are not immigration advisors or HO staff. This service has only been in place since November 2018 and the Home Office premium service centres were closed.

Ok, so that's what I meant by "approval appointment." So the process is, I book / pay online, have the appointment with Sopra Steria, and then they submit the info to the HO, who makes a decision online and then emails / mails you about it? So I'll never see a case worker or HO official in person?
