How would you calculate my points.im nhs doctor in non shortage list .salary 55k +cali1234 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 16, 2018 6:59 pmno one in the 40 has been rejected today , there were 2 people yesterday who posted that their application have been rejected at 44 and 45 points , but no one else with 40+ points has said anything today. we will know on Monday.
hoping for a miracle , fingers crossed
If your salary is 55k that was enough to get COS in January (must have been refused/rejected for another reason) and it should be enough this month too. If it’s rejected again this month make sure your employer has followed the guidance and done the RLMT properly because it shouldn’t be rejected on points. People with 50k have gotten through this month and last so 55k should be fine.Ansari37 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 17, 2018 9:34 pmHi everyone ,
I am new on this page.I have one Cos rejected in January. I am a doctor from non shortage list.My HR didn't tell me the exact reason so she presumed that it could be due to the quota that reached its limit.
Earlier i was working on tier 5 viza with salary 56+k. I told the HR she might put salary lower than this could be the reason Cos rejected. She reapplied this month with amended salary 》 55+K. I am still waiting for Cos.no replies from HR yet.
I didn't know the point system and even now I am not sure what points I am scoring .I am hoping to get Cos this month as I heard that many doctors with salary range 44k onwards are getting cos.
Wish you all the best .
I hope every body gets through.
Regards
Hey !krimurthy wrote: ↑Sun Feb 18, 2018 10:13 amHi guys the company am going to join in UK is the same entity where am working in India now, i applied to UK company and got this offer. I just thought whether I can reach UK without RCOS using Tier 2 ICT (Intra company Transfer) have worked in this company for almost 17 months here, I told my HR contact to take this route but she suggested I need tier 2 general not sure how much knowledge she has as she was HR assistant probably doesn't know about this.
Any quick suggestions on this?
If companies are happy to raise salaries to get visas then more power to the worker but it sets a bit of a dangerous precedent that HO will need to address because NHS salaries for example are capped and have a standard national pay banding. Their salaries cannot be raised, so if large private companies just keep raising salaries nobody from the NHS will ever be able to compete...and then people start dying and it all goes down a very dangerous path.

Hopefully articles like that Guadian one will get shared a bit through social media and if it gains a bit of traction the government may realise there’s a problem. I mean we are skilled workers wanting to do jobs that nobody in the UK could do or wanted.
I believe the time is getting over now for Tier 2 (new and extensions). This is all part of Brexit. You might get a Tier 2 now lets say max for 3 years and after 3 years time when you will apply for an extension, some new salary threshold will be in place.Ansari37 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 18, 2018 8:43 pmHopeful42 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 18, 2018 8:15 pmIn a way it’s good the issue is finally getting a bit of media coverage. Right , but I don't know why HO taking time...y it's being lingered on ...
I am in such stressed state of mind
It’s not HO’s call. Their hands are tied by government policy. Any changes to policy take time and I doubt they’ll change anything any way given their public promises to stop migration. And the UK are allowed to decide to control their own boarders in any way they see fit but the problem is that UK can’t sustain itself without continuous streams of skilled workers. I’ve heard all this talk about investing in training for their own people which is a great idea in theory but it takes years and years to develop the skills and qualifications that we have. What happens in the interim while EU nationals are fleeing the UK workforce in masses? It just doesn’t make any sense.Ansari37 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 18, 2018 8:43 pmHopeful42 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 18, 2018 8:15 pmIn a way it’s good the issue is finally getting a bit of media coverage. If you are 55K I think you should get approval notice from your HR soon, no worries. Feb was cutoff at 50K.
What's your points and is this your second refusal this month?Hopeful42 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 18, 2018 10:45 pmIt’s not HO’s call. Their hands are tied by government policy. Anyway sorry I’m off topic now. Good luck to everyone still awaiting their RCoS - let’s hope for some miracles!
33 points and yep second refusal. I won’t be re-applying for March though.mschase wrote: ↑Mon Feb 19, 2018 5:03 amWhat's your points and is this your second refusal this month?Hopeful42 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 18, 2018 10:45 pmIt’s not HO’s call. I see. Any news or idea from your contacts whether quota number might ease starting April or slim chances for that?Hopeful42 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 19, 2018 5:35 am33 points and yep second refusal. I won’t be re-applying for March though.
I thought my RLMT expired end of this month but it’s actually the end of March but my manager, HR and myself discussed the issue and we thought it would be better to just re-do RLMT now as obviously my chances of getting COS in March are slim to none. So there is a chance I’ll lose my job but my manager doesn’t think that will be the case as I was their only proper/qualified appliant in 3 continuous months of recruitment last time.
They don’t have any more information than we do - we just figured that given it’s highly unlikely I’ll get approved in March we’re probably just wasting our time when we could be re-doing RLMT so it’s valid during the months I may have a chance in. If they manage to find a British/EU candidate from this round then so be it - and worst case scenario I look for another job.mschase wrote: ↑Mon Feb 19, 2018 5:58 amI see. Personally, I still can't fathom the idea that 45 might continuously be the cut-off for a very long time but it just seems that way.
I had to clear many rounds of interviews to obtain my role with the current employer, which also made them realize that I was the candidate they needed.Hopeful42 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 19, 2018 7:09 amThey don’t have any more information than we do - we just figured that given it’s highly unlikely I’ll get approved in March we’re probably just wasting our time when we could be re-doing RLMT so it’s valid during the months I may have a chance in. I’ve noticed that you’ve been applying since November, has your employer given any indication that they’ll need to re-recruit or are they going to keep persisting?
Yes my employers don’t know what is going to happen from April onwards either but they wanted us to re-do RMLT now so we could at least apply again then (wouldn’t be able to otherwise as my RLMT expires in March).mschase wrote: ↑Mon Feb 19, 2018 7:47 amI had to clear many rounds of interviews to obtain my role with the current employer, which also made them realize that I was the candidate they needed.Hopeful42 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 19, 2018 7:09 amThey don’t have any more information than we do - we just figured that given it’s highly unlikely I’ll get approved in March we’re probably just wasting our time when we could be re-doing RLMT so it’s valid during the months I may have a chance in. They're persistent only because it's a refusal and not a rejection and considering that most employers have just reapplied, they decided to do the same. However, it would be natural for them to give up soon after ~2 more refusals.
I wasn't asking you about March. I was trying to get your opinion for what might happen in April because if this trend continues then we will most certainly lose our offer in hand + chance of working/living in UK.
Writing a letter to Mayor sounds great and I was actually thinking of doing it myself. Any advice on how and where we address it? Format? etc..
