I had an appointment at 9:30 for ILR tier 1 g route at PEO Glasgow. Arrived at 9:10am registered at 10am. Biometrics at 10:30 and approved at 11:30. Documents submitted 12 months payslips, employer letter, hmrc employment earning history, son birth certificate for absence backup, English language test result, LIUK, bank statement. Quick decision and very happy with overall experience

Some routes to ILR require more documents than PBS routes. The OP applied based on 6 years DLR and such evidence is usually required.

I had gap of 6 months (redundant in old role) no curtailment letter was sent. Tier 2 renewal wasn’t issue. So I was okay with ILR application.

Thanks alot to this forum for helping me out through out my journey from FLRM to SETM, got my ILR at PEO appointment Sollihul yesterday.
My appointment was at 10:30am but arrived at 10am. After 20-30 minutes wait I was called to provide all my documents and photocopies by the case handler and was sent back to waiting area. I submitted my bio metrics around 10:45 and I was asked to leave the building, the security guard advised that I will receive a call with in 2-2:30 hours once my documents are ready or if they need any additional documents. I received a call at 12:30 asking me to collect my documents and got positive outcome.

I earlier planned to apply for mid March but preponed it as I had all documents ready and wanted this thing to get out of my mind. Only concern I had that I was not living in the uk during the initial period of 5 years. But no questions were asked at all. Probably my employer letter was enough.
I have gone through several posts in the forum which helped understand the application process, etc. So thanks a lot for maintaining this. It was very helpful. Need to start looking into process for my wifes visa extension and kids BC.

I have been reader of the forum every time I applied for my Tier-2 visa or renewal. So feel obliged to post the ILR story:

Concerns:
1. Had supplementary employment for 10 hours a week but with 2 other employers ( guidance doesnt specify number of employers only number of hours you can do on top)
2. monthly salary was rounded down by 33p so was getting underpayment of £4 over a year period- Had a letter from employer and their accountant to accept it was their error and they are in process of making the payment to compensate for it.

Common Tips:
1: Keep your documents simple and clutter free.
2: Keep enough charge on phone. Case workers will call you to clarify things if needed.
3. Wait after biometrics are done, don't leave the premises until your case goes for consideration. Biometrics system is prone to error.

Interesting discovery:
If your case is complex the caseworker will ask you to send the application by post and refund the premium service fee after booking fee + out of office hours fee deduction.

Hi guys my ILR(LR) application was approved yesterday,
PEO CARDIFF:

09:30AM Called by the caseworker and documents handed back with approval letter.
The whole process went very pleasent and easy, the staff was very polite,nice, and professional from security to the caseworker.Every one of them explained everything very nicely and politely like if i was the only one there to be served. WORTH the extra money i paid.
The whole stay in the building was only 1.5 hours.

Hi Everyone!

First of all I woukd like to thank everyone who has contributed in this forum. Helped me save a lot of money as I did not have to pay for solicitor. So here was my experience today for my successful ILR application at Croydon PEO;

We reached there about 9:15 but we were asked to come back after 30 mins since my appointment was at 10:00 which was understandable. After going through the security we went to the 3rd floor and registered our application and were given a token number and were asked to be seated in waiting area. After a wait of about 40 min I was called to one of the counter where I was asked to provide my SET O and my passport along with BRP and photographs. I was advised to remove all the paper clips and binding clips and was given 2 set of folders 1 for original document and 1 for photocopy. Once the details were entered, I was asked to wait for my number to be called for biometric. So after waiting about 15 min around 11:15 I was called in for biometric this is where I was asked to leaved the documents. Once done with the biometric I was then told I could go out of the building or wait as it would take 2-3 hour to get the decisi, we decided to wait. But surprisingly in about 1 hr I was called to collect the document this was arould 12:15 and was told my application has been approved and ILR granted. Happy Days!!! Within 2 hhour and 15 min it was all done.

I would suggest to book appointment in the morning as it seems less busy which was on my case.

5. Letter from employer must have "will be employed for forseeable future" & "current annual salary will also be paid for forseeable future"

Been a long time reader of the forum and I've found it immensely helpful. Very grateful to all posters and the moderators esp CR001, he/she seems to know the answer to almost every query I had. So here's my experience. Hopefully will help others.

- 5 x letters to children. These needed to be dated within 3 months of my application from sources such as NHS, school etc. There were to prove children were normally resident at same address as me. 3 were recent and 2 were from the start of when I arrived in UK as I wanted to prove they've always lived with us.

Time:
Appointment was at 9:30am
Arrived: 9am, showed my payment email, was allowed in and went through security

Total time: <2.5 hours

My tips:
- The extra money paid for PSC is WORTH IT. Go for it if you can.
- Try and book early as the place really filled up starting from 10am
- If booked at Glasgow, go to building marked FESTIVAL COURT 1. Closest subway station is Cessnock and PSC is within walking distance. Vending machine and coffee available in PSC so bring coins if you think you might need a bite.
- This is exactly what case officer told me: Some people's applications take 4-5 hours because the case officer has to spend time photocopying every doc. So help make his job easier and hopefully he can decide on your case quicker! Photocopy all your docs if you can.
- Take some time to organise your docs. Eg clip all bank statements together with dates and salary banked in highlighted. I also arranged my docs in what I thought would be the most important to the last. So I presented Financials first, followed by LIUK, English, Letters etc. Use post-its to label all your documents so the case officer can tell easily what he's looking at.
- It helps if you type out an index page showing what docs and how many. My case officer particularly liked it as he could see at a glance what docs I had in the file. You can group them eg FINANCIALS 1) Bank statements x 6 Jan-June 2018 2) Payslips x 6 Jan-June 2018 CERTIFICATES 1) Life in UK x 1 2) Trinity English x 1
- Just put all your originals in one file and copies in another. Stack both piles in the same order. There's no need to use a fancy binder with plastic pockets. I just used a basic paper document wallet.
- My husband attended with me. I did read a post somewhere on this forum that said spouses needed to attend with applicants on SET (M) so he came along.

First of all, Hearty thanks to Casa and the crew, I picked few pearls from here and consulted couple of solicitors and stitched a case together and went to Croydon and glory at the end. Thank God!

HSBC Statements - requested copies from bank, and they only sent me 10 of the 12. I printed other two off and got covering letter from bank.. was a bit nervous here, but no problems - just print on good paper.
Covering Letter - explaining my 10 years in the UK and last 5 years absences. I had spent nearly 400 days away in 5 years, but a lot was for business.
Wife and two children passports, marriage certificate, kids birth certificates - demonstrates my life in UK
Title deed to my property - backs up my answers in finances section.

1230 appointment, arrived and got number at 1225
1340 - case registered
1410 - biometrics taken
1630 - result - approved

It was a long wait, and the screens were broken so had to rely on voice calls over the PA. overall, they didn't require any more documents so it went well. But glad to get the ILR after over 10years in the country. i spent 2 years in Australia 2011-13, so it caused my continuous residence to restart. Lucky i came back when I did, as it was getting down to the last day for the Tier 1 General being able to get ILR.
