I had the appointment for NCS on 8th August and I was expecting a decision by now. Many people here seemed to have received their decision and my case was pretty starightforward. (student visa for masters and PhD, Tier 2 for 3 years, followed by 3 year Tier 2 extension..applied for ILR in July 2017 on the basis of 5 year Tier 2, have been in the UK for 11 years...had never had any issue with visa applications, all in-time, all had a reasonable turn-around time...)

On October 1 we received a letter, dated September 21, asking us to submit further evidence (e.g. school reports, doctor's appointments) for our kid in Switzerland, as well as the birth certificate for my wife who was born to Swiss parents but outside the EU/EAA. Compared to most of the posts in this thread, my application took a bit longer. Java97's application also seems to have taken a tad longer. And we both finally got our approval. I am wondering if it is a mere coincidence that we both happen to be from Pakistan (or were they stacking up all applicants from Pakistan for some extra checks which have now come through ...)
