I called them again 3 times in September and October, sounding increasingly desperate, and the call operators on the other end sounding increasingly hapless! They are quick at making a promise that you will receive a response or a case-specific status update within 3 weeks, but it did not materialise at all.

Hi Everyone,

I got married April 30th 2018 - islamabad, after collecting all documents and my spouse completing all the tests we submitted our online application with as follows:
4th October online application submitted - Non Priority Spouse Husband Visa - applied from Islamabad
10th October Biometric enrolment
22nd October all supporting docs sent to Sheffield.
10th Nov received an email from UK Visas confirming application has been recieved, passed over to Decision Making Centre for an entry clearance officer to make decision within 12 weeks.

I’ve not heard anymore and have chased my solicitor to find out if my documents have been sent back.

Awaiting for updates and praying for visa to be granted.

Hope everyone else’s wait is over soon too.

31.08.2018 - biometrics undertaken at Mirpur
03.09.2018 - supporting documents sent to Sheffield via Royal Mail
04.09.2018 - supporting documents received by HO
27.10.2018 - supporting documents returned
12.11.2018 - HO contacted wife via text and phonecall for collection of passport at Mirpur Centre
14.11.2018 - collection made and visa granted - 30 days from 14.11.2018
Total time - approximately 52 workings days

Non-priority application submitted for settlement for wife
15.09.2018 - online application submitted
18.09.2018 - biometrics undertaken at Mirpur
21.09.2018 - supporting documents sent to Sheffield via Royal Mail
24.09.2018 - supporting documents received by HO

A solicitor was not used whatsoever and no communication was received from the HO, not even to the employers. Further no communication was made to HO, chasing the Applications or anything as such.

Just wanted to add a note saying to be conscious of the fact that they can call at any time. From reading posts on this website I was under the impression that UKVI only call sponsors early-ish into the process. Some were saying it's around about the time you get the confirmation email of the application reaching the decision making centre. This isn't necessarily true as I received a call for my husband's application in the 11th week of the process i.e. in the 3rd month.
