Falling short for ILR application eligibility

Post by Juliet » Mon Apr 09, 2012 10:55 am

Hello,

I recently got tier 2 general extension for 2 years until 15 February 2014. This will take my total stay in the United Kingdom to 4 years and 10 months.
My first visa was approved on 16 April 2009.
Since my second COS provided by the Employer stated dates from 15 February 2012 to 15 February 2015, the visa was extended as per the guidance for 2 years. Now I am falling short of 2 months to be eligible for ILR application.
My question is
1) Should I apply for an extension again in 2014 to take my total stay to 5 years?
2) Can the same Employer sponsor me in that case?
3) Do I need to pay the same amount as the extension fee?

Thanks and regards
