Set (O) Form Questions please help.............

Post by umeruzair » Mon Apr 09, 2012 5:34 pm

Hi,

Can any one who has already applied or more knowledgeable please answer the SET (O) questions,

Under Section 11 document there is a tick box for "Your Finance" and the question is,
"Evidence of your finances. If you have to complete section 5, Bank Statement, Building Society Savings book(s), payslips or other formal documents as evidence of your ability to maintain and accomodate yourself and any dependants without recourse to public funds. (See Note 5)"

Note 5: We do not accept internet or cashpoint statements as evidence of finances. If you claim that a relative or firend is providing you with financial support..............."

My question is that what evidences do I need to show to answer this question and also should i provide last 3 months bank statements or the last 5 years statement to prove the continuous period. Also how much amount should I need to show in my account to satisfy this condition.

I would be grateful for the prompt response as I have an appointment in weeks time. I thought I do not need to prove the maintenance fund as this was only required for Tier 1 but it looks like the condition is still appliacable.

Thanks for reading
Lucapooka

I am pplying on the basis of 2 years WP + 3 years Tier 1 (General) but that rule is regardless of your category i think. Also I am applying with one dependant wife but I also have a child therefore should I need to show the funds for both of them or just one dependant (wife).

Please ignore the rude hijacking of thread; perhaps a moderator can remove it. Not less that three months most recent statements will meet that requirement. There is no set amount as long as you have a regular cashflow of income that you can easily support yourself. ILR is seldom refused on financial maintenance if the applicant is living within their means and not pulling public funds to which there is no entitlement.

So it means that we need to show the maintenance funds which i remember at the time of tier 1 it was 800 for main applicant and around 600 for the dependant. It's really confusing one way they say you don't need to show the maintenance funds as Tier 1.

Is there any where we can find the requirement of these funds then?

No, the fixed sum for a fixed period maintenance requirement is only part of the points-based system. You are applying for settlement under a different set of conditions. Frankly if you are earning an income that alone will be sufficient.
