Established presence

Post by afriley » Tue Apr 10, 2012 4:51 pm

I have a Tier 4 visa valid until 30 August 2012. I submit all my MSc work at the end of June and am then returning to my home country (Russia) for the summer.

I will be starting the BPTC course in September 2012, and therefore plan to apply for a new visa in July 2012 (application to be made in Russia). Am I right in thinking that I will have established presence at the time of application? The course I am currently doing is 1 year long, with a Highly Trusted Sponsor, and I have previously completed a 3 year BA course in the UK. The slight uncertainty I have is over the specification that the visa must still be "current" (valid?) at the time of the new application; since my course would have finished, would my current visa still be, technically, um, "current"?

Sorry for the pedantic question - I may be reading too much into it.
