Difference in timing of Biometrics and processing of appl

Post by timesofindia » Wed Apr 11, 2012 7:05 am

Applied for Tier 1 Extension with self + 2 dependents.

My dependents' biometrics were done at PO on 17-MAR-2012 and my biometrics were done at PEO - 10-APR-2012.

Current UKBA timelines suggest till 13-MAR.
-------------
We are currently considering applications where the applicant attended a biometric appointment on or before 13 March.
------------

I was wondering if UKBA start processing all the 3 applications based on 17-MAR or 10-APR.
I am preparing my mind for the worst i.e. 10-APR-2012.

You gotta be kidding mate. UKBA doesn't process the main applicants visa based on Biometrics submitted by dependants. The dependants get a visa based on the fact that the main applicant has leave to remain and not vice versa.

Think with your brain for a change. There is no possibility of processing the application based on 17th march. It would be processed assuming all Biometrics were provided by 10th April. Your application wasn't complete till 10th April.

1. Guys first thing, this is a open forum and you dont have to post a reply if you think question is silly or a "joke"

2. Each and everyone of us have unique cases and note that UKBA are changing processes/policies with regarding to booking biometric appointments on daily basis.

3. In my case UKBA issued biometric postal letters for all 3 of us on 17-MAR and we were able to record biometric for my dependents at PO on 17-MAR BUT I could not record for main applicant all because of UKBA's system fault of not issuing correct letter in first place and BARCODE not working (it was not my fault).
I was more than happy to provide my biometrics as soon as possible.

4. Since the issue was identified, UKBA did not provide any solution on how to rectify the issue about recording my biometrics. Instead they just said wait for reponse from AppointmentExceptions.

5. Also as UKBA has not yet started reviewing applicants as of 17-MAR and I have already provided my biometric now, so as matter of fairness (not that UKBA will be fair) they should consider all our applications together as one set. This is just a general thought !!!

6. But I am not expecting they will do that, but I was just asking other members of the forum who have any experiences or know of any stories.

Again, if you think this is a joke, you DO NOT have to post reply just to increase your count !!!

I think UKBA would consider the case only when its time to process the main applicant's application.

I am also in the same situation.
Biometric letter came on 4th April(for PO) for myself and 2 dependent, went to PO on 13th April and came out that my(main applicant's) bar code could not be read. Such a bad system. Dependents went through though. I called UKBA explaining the situation and they said I'll have to book appointment at PEO and booked for 25th April now.

Was wondering did you drop an email to AppointmentExceptions explaining the situation?

Yes, Check the thread below.

1. Email Appointment Exceptions
2. Callup 0870 and ask them to book appointment only for you (excluding your dependents) and hopefully that will be earlier
