switching from tier 4 to tier 1 dependant

Hi All

I am on tier 1 visa in UK and my wife is on tier 4 visa in UK. Can she switch from tier 4(student) to tier 1 dependent visa while staying in UK?

if yes which application form should i use?

My second question is that I married last month, do i need to show 3 months account maintenance ?

She has to apply outside the UK (in her home country or one where she has a residence permit).

You or her need to show maintenance held for 3 months.

Thanks for you reply Lucapooka. She is from Iran and UK embassy in iran is closed. Can she apply from UK in this case?

no - she can apply from one of the designated embassies in Turkey or UAE dealing with Iranian applications.
