Age Points Confusion

Hi Guys,

I am just filling the form but I am not sure which option to pick at the moment in the current Form.

I got the Tier 1 (General) in June 2009 and I am just going for an Extension now.

In The form it says:

G1. Please tick the relevant box to confirm the points claimed by the applicant on the basis of his/her age at the date of application for the first grant of leave in the category. Applications for leave to remain where the applicant has, or has had, leave as a Highly Skilled Migrant, as a Writer, Composer or Artist, Self-employed Lawyer, or as a Tier 1 (General) Migrant under the Rules in place before 6 April 2010, and has not been granted
leave in any categories other than these since 6 April 2010

Under 28 years of age 20 points
28 or 29 years of age 10 points
30 or 31 years of age 5 points


All other applications for leave to remain
---------------------------------------------------
Under 30 years of age 20 points
30 to 34 years of age 10 points
35 to 39 years of age 5 points

Can anyone tell me which option should I choose from above as my age is 29 at the moment.

You need to check the age category you had at the time of your initial application and claim the same age points as that of your initial Tier 1 application
Hence
Under 28 years of age 20 points
28 or 29 years of age 10 points
30 or 31 years of age 5 points

Hi Saquib,

The only date that matters is the date when you submitted your intial successful tier 1 application. Calculate and claim points for your age on that date.
