First Passport Processing Stages

I Rang the Advice line to enquire about the latest status and was told that the application has cleared .


Anybody here know what that means or what are the stages of the First passport process.

Cant help much as currently going through it too.

When we checked initially was told it was in the "examination phase". When we checked a second time was simply told it had been received and a letter to invite to interview typically takes up to 3 for the interview letter and 6 weeks for passport but can be longer

I had a similar text " examination phase " last week. And on the day my application was receieved a credit check was conducted on my person. I know this cause i subscribe to equifax.
