Small query - NHS for Children

Hi

I am under tier 1 visa and planning to register my kid with nearest NHS.
I know that consultation is free for Adults and children as well.
But for medicine adults need to pay £7.6 but for children its the same ??
or else I heard that it is free ?? ... seniors pls clarify..
