Croydon PEO Success for SET-O date 5 Apr Thur

Post by harshil223 » Thu Apr 12, 2012 2:18 pm

I got an in-person appointment booked at Croydon PEO for 5 Apr Thu at 9:30 AM.
My time lines below

8:50: Entered PEO, after security check, there was a queue of 4-5 people in front of me for initial check up of application. Waited for 15-20 mins there
9:20: Came to 1st floor and paid the fees, there was a small queue of 2 people in front of me. After paying fee, did not get any instruction where to go but there was a huge waiting area with lot of people. Ticket numbers were being called from the speakers. As my application required bio metric, I chose to sit near the bio metric screening counter. Waited for approx half an hour.
10:00: Got call from a window which was not for bio metric. It seemed that the gentleman at the window was a trainee as he took hell lot of time. He asked me for my passport- I handed old and new passports and he kept staring at the new passport which has not got any visa page. Don't know what he was up to. After a long wait, he talked to someone else and then told me that processing is done and go for bio metric on same floor!
10:45: Got bio metric done and was told to wait on same floor and wait for my ticker number call.
11:30: Got call from window 27 and the gentleman simply asked me for my application form and all documents- original and copies. No single document asked individually. Just handed over all lot to him and then he told me to wait for at least 3 hours on the same floor.
15:30: After a long wait of approx 4 hours, ticket number again got called and passports and all originals were returned to me.

12 Apr Thursday: Got the bio metric card delivered at home.

Please note, my case was a very simple and straight forward.
WP->HSMP->Tier1->ILR route.
Single application - no dependants.
First three years worked for the company which sponsored my WP in 2007.
Last two years changed to other company.

I would say no need to rush for early time slot, as those who came after 11 or 12 also got the results at 15:30. My only relief was that there was no IT issue on that day for which Croydon PEO is notorious for now a days.
