Third party fund letter-Signature of 3rd party + applicant

Post by uma418 » Thu Apr 12, 2012 3:43 pm

Hi,
I would be applying for Tier 1 (Entrepreneur ) visa from India using 3rd party funds provided by a relative from UK. The 3rd party letter as mentioned in the guidelines (Policy Guidelines-Annex C - Templates - Document 2 - page 55 ) requires the signature of both the applicant and third party on that letter to be attested by the notary. Since I am based in India and the the 3rd party providing me the letter is in UK, how can this problem of signature of both of us being on the same document and also attested by the notary be overcome without having me to travel to UK simply to sign that letter.
Thanks for your time.

I have not read that guidance, but does it say the same Notary needs to be used by those two people? Or could they use different Notaries?

It does seem to suggest that different notaries and different letters can be had but it is in context for someone who is having to fulfill the 200,000 limit through more than one 3rd party fund providers meaning for those people who have made up the total of 200,000 from more than one source.
The specimen letter / template on page 55 of the guidelines and also the page 17 and 18 of the guidelines require that the third party letter should have the signature of both the applicant and also the third party fund provider and this letter needs to be validated by a legal representative in which the 3rd party funds lie.
So in my case the 3rd party funds being in U.K and also the 3rd part being in U.K the legal representative validating the letter has to be from U.K.
While this is not a problem, the small hitch is to have the legal representative verify my signatures while I am not present in U.K and am in India from where I would be applying.
Your inputs shalll be much appreciated.
