Effect of conviction on Extension of Tier 1

Post by makkan00 » Thu Apr 12, 2012 6:55 pm

Dear All,
Unfortunately I have been involved in road traffic accident. I have been told by police that they may prosecute me for careless driving or dangerous driving depening on witnesses statements.

I have been told that I will get summon and I may have to go to court.

I am worried about this, and considering what happened, I am worried about my Tier 1 (general) extension which is coming at the end of this year.

Reading this:

It make some sense but being noob I could not understand whether it will effect my extension of Tier 1 or not.

I have been suggested that I should expect fixed penalty points 3-9 and some fine. In worst case scenario I may get couple of months disqualification.

Now my question is, will that effect extension of Tier 1 or not?

Many thanks for help.

One more question.

My Tier 1 was for 3 years.
Now When we apply for extension, do we get it for 2 years or 3 Years?

Also if I cannot apply for ILR after that (due to any conviction), what will happen then? Can I apply for further Tier 1 extension or not?

Can somebody please elaborate?

Thanks.

you will get 2 years extension.

if rules don't change then you can apply for further T1 extension

Can somebody kindly guide me, and answer my question above?
On the time of Tier 1 extension, does unspent conviction effect extension?
Thanks.
