Paying by postal order

Post by Vickyglitz » Fri Apr 13, 2012 11:49 am

I paid by postal order and gave cash at the post office. Is that ok? What does it mean in the guidance in when it says "cross the cheque as A/C payee only"??

Paying by postal order is fine, cheques and PO both can be crossed as A/C Payee, this means the money would be transfered to the person/organisation to which the financial instrument is addressed. PO are straight forward and are as good as cash, cheques take upto 7 working days to clear.

Thanks! I didn't cross anything but made the order payable to home office.
