British Embassy/ High Commision Islamabad

Post by aziqbal » Sat Apr 14, 2012 6:30 am

My wife recently got her spouse visa and needs to be stamped by the British Embassy, does anyone know how long this will take?

what is the procedure, do they sent out a letter and then you have to post passport via Gerrys?

some people tell me it goes to Abu Dhabi?? others Islamabad?

is there a contact number or email for the embassy as i have been told they are a very incompetant bunch and have no clue what they are doing
Thanks

Your post does not make sense. If you wife recently got [sic] her visa then why do you need this to be stamped by the BHC. A visa is a vignette that is placed inside the passport.

I think you may be referring to her visa being approved after a period of appeal and you are now waiting for the call-in letter. This can take 8 to 10 weeks from the appeal decision.

No, I did mean 8 - 10 weeks!

If your appeal is successful
If the judge allows your appeal, his or her determination will be sent to the relevant visa section, which will in turn contact you.

It can take up to 4 weeks for determinations to reach the relevant visa section, and a further 8 weeks for them to be processed. The visa section will write to you using the contact details provided on your appeal form.

Please do not contact the visa section until 12 weeks after the date when you or your representative received the judge's decision. This date will be stated on your written determination.

Do not contact the FTTIAC or our immigration enquiry bureau about your appeal after you have received your allowed determination. They will not be able to issue you with a visa or deal with your enquiry.
